How do I get html to display in native e-mail app w/ Yahoo Mail

How do I get HTML (pictures and links) to show up in the native e-mail app w/ Yahoo Mail? Every once in a while I'll be asked to "display pictures", but that is a rare thing. Pictures do not show (they show up as the url written out) and many links do the same thing.
