No 4.0.4 update still.
So I'm still waiting on my HOX to update. I have not tried to to factory reset the phone because I'm just kind of lazy to have to reinstall my apps if it doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: No 4.0.4 update still.
At this point it is clear that the OTA will never show itself unless you do a reset or install the update manually.
So if you really want it you'll need to do one or the other.
But the price seems very high for doing it, you'll lose the ability to root and as I'm just finding out some audio settings too.If you try to fail and succeed, which have you done? - 08-27-2012, 08:42 AM #6

OK I haven't gotten it either. Some people have said that a factory reset didn't do anything for them. Why would I need to factory reset if the phone is brand new?

Ha how dare you trying to tackle this with logic! jk.
No really I think that there is a glitch with the original software or something with At&t's server side.
To be honest I never tried just reseting and then update it, when I got tired of checking my updates for something that has been out for 3 weeks on a daily basis I just rolled heavy with the manual update from HTC direct. If you try to fail and succeed, which have you done? - 08-27-2012, 10:43 AM #8
Re: No 4.0.4 update still.
I was going to do that until it said I needed to download HTC Sync Manager but it's not avaialble for mac. Seems like I'm stuck. If I can get the update through a reset, I'll obviously gladly do it.

Re: No 4.0.4 update still.
I refuse to use any windows programs on my mac haha.
OK so I took a leap of faith and reset my phone. Update popped up as soon as my phone rebooted. Crazy. It does require you to be on WiFi though. - 08-27-2012, 02:26 PM #11

I shall perform said factory reset and will update when I'm done.
If this doesn't work expect an angry fist shook in all of your general direction!

Just a note that my Asian Market phone just got an OTA this evening. The version number is slightly different than what amitkumar2283 posted above.

Factor Reset my phone and the update was immediately available after I started it up again and went through setup.
