No major differences that I notice in terms of performance, but then I never had any complaints in that area any way.
This phone has always been blindingly fast.
Gerry Hildabrand was gushing about Project Butter, but the phone was always so smooth that I never saw any of the slowness supposedly fixed by that.
I'm running a long duration battery test to see if its any better or worse.

They did foist Google Chrome on you whether you want it or not, and it seems to run much better on JB than it did on ICS, where it was a bandwidth hog. I still prefer stock browser to Chrome, because Stock will zoom and re-wrap text for easier reading, whereas Chrome won't.
To see what I mean go to Google News and try to zoom it up. Stock zooms and rewraps. Chrome either does nothing, or if you adjust the zoom override setting it zooms but does not rewrap, so you have to scroll back and forth to read a paragraph. Stock is just an all around better browser than Chrome.

Did you have APN problems on Rogers, or did HTC reserve that little glitch for us AT&T customers?

Thanks icebike, any more major changes? The UI maybe? Compared to ICS?

Yup. And several changes in the battery usage settings as well.

First full day using this version with two hours of phone call, dozens of emails, leaves me with 20 percent battery after 17+ hours.

Oh, and the power usage chart is also new

Plus it's now not possible to view the screen on time. You'll need a third party app for that..

In the prior version, you could see the amount of time the screen was on (lit up). Now you can see only the chart (above), but not the number of minutes it was actually lit up.

It was really a nebulous number anyway because it made no distinction between bright or dim settings.

How's Google Now working? And how does one activate it?

Also, there wouldn't happen to be an option to disable the LED lights of the capacitive buttons, would there?

I haven't seen any options to turn off te capacitive lights.

Use the Google search widget, and you should see the option to turn on Google now. Its sort of interesting, but it doesn't do a lot right now. Voice search works very well. It should get better as more functionality is added over time.

Any idea or rumors when the update is going to hit the Northeast U.S.? I have AT&T for a carrier.

Really? Mine has been much better than before. So much that I never bother putting it on the charger mid-day ever when the charger is sitting right next to the phone.

I've been getting 18 hours with 20 percent left even on busy days.

I am on wifi a lot.

Yeah. I've had to disable Google Now, so that my battery improves. I've got battery like in the days of Sense 4... The best battery life I had was with Sense 4.1

Are you sure its Google Now? As far as I know it doesn't do that much until you call it up, or at least have the phone lit up.

On mine, after 3 hours on battery, Google Search shows as 9%. But I was using it pretty heavily.
(Google now doesn't show up at all, but I assume its just wrapped up in Google Search.)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good Battery Utilization app?
The version HTC slipped in in JB is less informative than the old version and
you can't even figure out what percentage the screen uses.

(Seems like they are going out of their way to hide some info).

Google Now gets registered under Android System I guess. And it keeps searching and updating wherever internet is connected. Plus there are notifications too...

Try BetterBatteryStats or GSam Battery Monitor.

They said third quarter for the HTC One X but this is the fourth. Hopefully, AT&T will release this update soon. I'm getting impatient.
