I've noticed lately that my HOX has been syncing more than usual and the battery has been draining faster than usual. Looks like the Google+ app is the culprit. Has anyone else seen this?

yep, although i'm not sure its only g+, i think its anything dealing with data connection. Not positive. I turned off auto-sync and it seems to have helped.

I have seen this on my Droid Incredible 2. I was pretty surprised when I saw that, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and it seemed to help.

I'm not on a hox but I can say g+ plays nice with me and I have 2 active chats always on.

Instant photo upload? Are, or were, you taking a lot of pictures (or had taken)? If it was uploading pics, it might explain the heavier than normal usage. Goog+ does have that on by default I believe.

When I had g+ on my nexus it dropped my battery life in half. Looking at the battery stats showed that my phone kept waking up every 30 seconds. Ever since I deleted the app, battery life went back to normal. Not sure if its a bug in the app or the way Google designed it.

So interestingly, I logged out of the G+ app, logged back in and now it's fine again. It didn't seem to be the instant upload feature.

This is weird.. having the same problem with Google+ being by far the most draining thing on my phone.
Tried the sign out and got a warning that it was still uploading more than 200000 thing!?!? WTF.

Update: sign out and login didn't solve, so I signed out forever.. I'll wait for a better app.
Problem solved and my battery is lasting 3x more.
