And there doesn't seem to be a way to fix it. This comes from other HTC or Android devices, even iPhone's. You can't zoom in or enlarge. Any idea how to fix this or is this a pic app I can download to view it as normal size?

Try Handcent or GoSMS in place of the HTC messaging app. There is a size limit that the carrier imposes, but it is changeable... with the right app. Supposedly. Please note that as a Google Voice user, I get no MMS at all, so. But this problem comes up from time to time and I believe one of the popular SMS apps either resolves it outright, or has the settings to allow for larger MMS.

No matter what app you have, you can't exceed 1000k on AT&T.. the rom I'm running will allow me to select 3500k, but because of the restriction through the carrier, it will only send it add 1000k

This is not a carrier problem, it's a HTC One X problem. When I switch my sim card to my HTC Vivid also on AT&T , problem solved!
