The above option requires me to root, correct? I'd rather avoid that if possible.

my 24 hour window has passed and now instead of telling me I have to wait x number of hours, the button simply presses and then does nothing! What the !? Anyone have a fix or a suggestion?

My phone does the same with checking and then nothing. I'm not sure but, I was told the carrier can force it? I've yet to do it, bc after seeing all the WiFi issues, I'm not even sure I want to yet. Does anyone here know more? I also don't want to root.

I've read that the Wi-Fi issues can easily be fixed by forgetting the Wi-Fi network your connected to and re-adding it. Have you read people still having problems after doing this?

Yes, I read that as well, and also that some still couldn't get it back. Not all, just a mix of course. Hopefully it is just certain ones. I know most updates will have issues, but, hoping for a smooth one if I do get it. Thanks for responding.

You don't need to root to upgrade with that download link, this is how I did it with the last update before rooting

I had to keep bumping mine up and trying it every "day." By time I got to the 14th, the phone finally found it. Not sure if that's the magic date, or if I just needed to keep trying it.

I was up to about 8 days forward when all the sudden my phone stopped doing the wait time for some reason and it worked.
