I've got a virgin router in modem mode connected to a Apple Extreme Wifi Router. I had a million and one problems with signal interference before I finally resolved the issue by changing my network to 5ghz. It's a small flat so any reduction of signal wasn't a problem.
But the problem arose when I changed my phone back from an iphone to an Android (HTC One X)
It can't find the 5ghz network.
I've tried it on auto and it only finds all the local 2.4ghz networks my neighbours have.
I've tried changing the HTC to 5ghz only but it doesn't find anything then.
Virgin and Apple tell me the fault is with the phone: that its either not working or isn't 5ghz compatible.
Can anyone help please?
