I'm an iPhone 5 user and previously had a Samsung Galaxy S2, then an S3. I kinda swing between Android an iOS and I have to say I love the look of this new HTC One and I am really tempted to go for one when my current carrier contract expires.

Thank you! Finally! Can we lay that stupid argument to rest. "Oh my samsung TV looks remarkably close to your Sony TV" Really ?! Maybe its because they didn't invent heart-shaped TV screens that are practical yet? Stupid people and stupid logic.

To me it looks like the z10 and iPhone 5 hooked up and made a gorgeous baby.

I don't get why people get upset over it looking like other devices though. It's not like they could have copied, it takes a year or so to make a phone, there's no way HTC could have copied the iPhone or Z10 this quickly. Besides, it doesn't matter who did it first, what matters is who does it best, and right now before holding it, it seems as though HTC did it best.

Is the iPhone at full brightness there? I read a review that said the HTC One is not very bright so I'm trying to figure out how bright/dim it is in comparison to my iPhone 4S.

The HTC One is the first Android device I am sold on hardware with. I LOVE IT.
This is the first device outside of the iPhone series I see and must have because of the hardware.
