Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
Already posted in another thread. But let me toss this at you for a counter. that is from the investment company reassuring it's brokers and stock holders in HTC that we are a go for March. So lets settle down and not go by this.
But just as I said in the other thread covering this T-Mobile has been notorious for slow launches LOL
Oh and your link is broken.Last edited by reddragon72; 03-18-2013 at 10:56 AM.

Who would you be more inclined to trust, the investment company or the President of Global Sales for the company?
EDIT: Fixed the link in OP. - 03-18-2013, 10:55 AM #5
Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
It's some sort of bizarro world where people don't believe clear-cut statements. When HTC said the One wasn't coming to Verizon, people jumped to all sorts of conclusions other than the One is not coming to Verizon. HTC didn't say "We can't comment" or "The final decision hasn't been made" or "We are in negotiations" or "Maybe at some future date" or "Yes, but under Verizon branding". They said no. Straight-up no.
So when HTC says, straight-up, it's coming in April, somehow that means March?

Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
He is not incorrect but he is also not entirely accurate. He is stating on a site the world will see so he mentioned the global availability date. Mid April is the new expected world availability date but it looks like certain regions/markets will still launch in March.
See that and removed the remark in my previous post. - 03-18-2013, 10:56 AM #7

Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
This was posted on March 15 and Meryl Lynch info was after and since this is the presidents for sales globally he probably meant for the main markets, but who knows, I hope is soon, we will know by this incoming week, I need to return my phone so I could get the HTC One and have until the 27th to do so.

Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
All of the different tweets and WSJ reports aside, the issue here is that HTC has not come forward and given us, the people who they are trying to sell to, any official information. Some concrete information would be nice. I'm having flashbacks to last May and the EVO LTE customs fiasco. Don't give me that "Apple was to blame there" nonsense. That hold was a bummer, to be sure, but all of the official information we got from Sprint and HTC about the hold and about new release dates always came long after we read it here. Get out in front of this HTC and keep us informed.

Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
What? Did everyone really forget that HTC said March for the USA at their launch ?! They further went to say the USA wasn't affected by there "delay" (more like a brain delay for HTC really, morons). So now truth comes out that the USA IS in fact affected? Who are we dealing here, a global multi-million dollar company, or my 5 year old cousins lemonade stand? The latter looks more plausible right now.

Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
That's the point. Why aren't there? Well, there actually was... kinda'. When you reference a timeframe during the device launch and set up a website with a buyback program for the US that specifies the purchase needs to be made by March 31, there is an implication of a March 31 launch at the latest. But you don't announce anything about an official launch date. When you move the date requirement for the buyback program to April 26, there is still an implied launch by that date, yet you still won't announce anything. It wouldn't be as irritating if there wasn't a hard purchase requirement date. It would be even less irritating if they hadn't already released it in Europe. I'm not saying we need to get it first over here, but if your premier 2013 device is starting to launch in Europe, shouldn't we at least get some sort of official update from the company about a US launch? This isn't the nation of Nauru with a whopping population of less than 10,000. I'm pretty sure there are more phones than that connected to Sprint tower closest to my home at this very moment.
And yes, I looked the Nauru population stat up before I put it in here.Last edited by BigDinCA; 03-18-2013 at 11:34 AM. Reason: Sorry Canada - you're in the buyback, too. No disrespect meant - I love Tim Horton's.

That seems to be part of the issue. Officially it said by end of march. With two weeks remaining. We would just like to circle a day on our calendar!

And the fact that with more rumors pointing to an april launch over their planned march release pisses people off.

Re: HTC One delayed in US until Mid April
Now we are getting info that the middle east is set back to April. BUT the third paragraph is interesting.
"HTC Middle East senior brand communications manager Neeraj Seth said that while we can still expect to see the flagship handset landing in select markets in March, the phone “will be officially released in the Middle East in April.” When it does hit stores, it’ll be offered for around $625." - 03-18-2013, 06:18 PM #20

I already posted this in the other US release date thread as well as his response that he was indeed talking about the US for mid april. this doesn't need its own thread. no need to make another new thread -_-
