iPhone to HTC One Transfer - mov format Video Files
Just switched to HTC One. Love the phone. The camera is great. Don't let detractors tell you otherwise. Much better than Samsung Note 3 camera especially in low lighting.
One issue I do have is with my old iPhone video files and I am hoping someone has an answer out there.
I had used the HTC Sync Manager to transfer my contents from my iPhone to my HTC One. It was easy enough.
BUT then I realised that all the video files (.mov) captured on my iPhone are no where to be found in the GALLERY. I checked the different folders under FILES in the HTC Sync Manager and could not find them in the Picture folder or the Movie folder.
Then I tried dropping a .mov file into the Picture folder and it didn't appear in the HTC Sync Manager FILE tab but it did appear when I transferred the .mov file to the Movie folder or another folder which I created within the FILES tab.
When I went back to the phone, I still could not find the .mov file in the GALLERY.
A friend suggested I download a video player such as VPlayer and the .mov video showed up.
My question is did anyone else have the same problem transferring the .mov video files from their iPhones to HTC One?
I get it that HTC One may not support .mov file format (although I think it should get that problem fixed) but even if they can't support .mov format it should at least list the video files in the GALLERY.
Now I have to physically transfer every single iPhone video file to my computer and then to my HTC One using the HTC Sync Manager and save it under a newly created folder and I can only view it with a 3rd party app.
Greatly appreciate any views or help on this.

Re: iPhone to HTC One Transfer - mov format Video Files
You could always use a free app like Handbrake to convert your .mov files to .mp4 format on your PC and then move them to your ONE or, as you're doing, use a 3rd party player for your .mov files. It's always a bit of a beast to change operating systems. The stock Gallery app doesn't recognize .mov file extension as a media file because the native player doesn't have the codec needed to play it.
