Default Help with Pairing Car Bluetooth with my HTC One

Hi all ,this is my 1st post on here & hopefully in the right place ..
Right I got a htc one about 6 months ago & it connected great with my bluetooth car kit ,never had a issue....then I got a update to 4.3 (I think) & this was the start of the problem it won't hold a connection ....then I hear that kitkat is coming so I hope that this sorts it out ...ohh noo how wrong was I ....still keeps on dropping the connection
Can I revert back to the original software?...is there a app which can fix this?....or does anyone know of another fix?
I have tried resetting the phone ..really need this fixed as I'm always driving all over the country.
    Thanks for any help

    Would rooting fix this?

No way back after the update my friend erm have you tried deleting and re - pairing? That's a basic thing to do.

Other than that yes you could root but that itself won't cure you have to find an app or know how to tweak things to get a fix.

A new rom may provide better connectivity but some don't.

Other than that I'm not sure of a direct fix. I'm sure someone else will have a better idea.

    Good Luck.

Hi all again just a quick update .....I reset my phone & just added my contacts & the bluetooth worked great,no disconnecting at all....

Then I added gmail & signed into google and the problems started again ...disconnecting after 20 seconds

Another reset and only added contacts at the moment and bluetooth is good again but I need I mail as well as my bluetooth .

Is no one else having this problem ? Can google cause problems with bluetooth?

    Any help much appreciated

What do you mean by 'reset'? Did you reset to factory settings?
And how, exactly, did you "add" your contacts if you had not signed in to your associated Gmail account yet?
Manually? By typing names and numbers?

Then I added gmail & signed into google and the problems started again ...disconnecting after 20 seconds

Another reset and only added contacts at the moment and bluetooth is good again but I need I mail as well as my bluetooth .
So the phone is 'on' now, and apparently works, but you have not yet signed into your Gmail account after this last reset?
If so then I assume you haven't been able to re-install any of your apps either, right? (I mean apps that did not originally come pre-installed on your new phone 6 months ago, but which you downloaded and installed since then).

Trying to get a good mental picture of what you and your device are doing, or not doing, that may throw some light on your problem.

Hi , yes reset to factory settings ,completely deleted everything and I had put my contacts onto my SIM card so that I did not have to restore my phone from a back up..

Yes the phone is 'on' and working and no I haven't re-installed anything else or logged into gmail or anything

It seems that if I go any further now I get this bluetooth issue back!

Hi just an update to anyone interested

As soon as I log into GOOGLE my bluetooth stops working on HTC ONE

So I log into play store download any apps I want ,then I have to go into settings & go to accounts & delete GOOGLE then my bluetooth pairing is back on track.

Strange that nobody else has this problem but anyway I have a way around it now.

You could try the app "Bluetooth Phonebook" by android-rsap.com . I was having similar problems with constant Bluetooth disconnects (from my Dodge UConnect system) after I updated my Sprint HTC One to 4.4.2 I tried all of the usual suggestions of re-pairing, deleting all pairings from both phone and vehicle, turning off WiFi, and a factory reset. Only the factory reset made any difference at all in terms of the disconnects, but the system still hung up my vehicle Bluetooth trying to download the phonebook. I had noticed this download hang before I did the factory reset as well.

After trying the test version of the app the download completed without hanging and I was able to voice dial again. I purchased the full app and have not had any problems since then with either disconnects or hangs during download. My theory is that the Bluetooth disconnects I was seeing were related to the phonebook download hangs. I think there is a big bug in the phonebook download stack for Bluetooth in this version of the OS.
