Default is there a way to revert back to the previous OS?

i have been using android 4.4.2 since it came out on t-mo. the lock screen drives me bonkers. and i can't think of a single improvement. is there a way to revert back to the previous OS?

PS i have tried every posted method for disabling the lockscreen and none work effectively.

    thank you!!

Do you not want to have a lock screen? You can disable the lock screen in settings>security.

no that doesn't work either. maybe we are talking about two different things. when i press the physical button on top of my htc one, i want to have immediate access to my screen (especially when navigating). since the new update (4.4.2), i have to swipe to unlock the screen before i have access. i have tried no lock and another app to disable this 'feature' but they only caused more problems.

if there is a way to revert to the previous android system, that seems like my best option until there is an update returning the choice of swipe to unlock to me.

    thank you!

In settings>Security>screen security, there should be the option to change it from Slide to whatever you want, be it face unlock, PIN, or none, which should give you what you want.

You should be able to. I don't see any reason as to why not. I don't know how to though.
