Phone bricked during normal operation. Not sure if there is a fix.

I have a rooted S-ON Evo V 4G that was running Harmonia 3.16 just fine. It ran for several months without a hitch until one day I played a game, put it in my pocket, took it back out and no worky. The screen stayed black but the touch buttons were lit up. If I press power plus Vol down it will boot up, say some .zip files are missing and go into hboot. Not able to read the .zip file names as they only flash on the screen for just a moment.
Afterwards the screen says:

OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0217
eMMC-boot

plus several recovery related options. None of which seem to do anything. I've read several other fixes but none seem to apply here. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

edownload the rom on your comnputer then in 4ext turn on usb storage after you connect it to your pc. Then move the file to your phone and flash and wioe system and data.

How do I flash and wipe the system and data from hboot? I tried factory reset and the phone just sits there and gets hot. There is no option for loading a ROM.

can you get into recovery? if not you may need to reflash or install a recovery

Did you upgrade your HBOOT? I thought Harmonia doesn't work with 1.57
