My phone constantly says its searching for GPS signal when I use the navigation. Does anyone else have this problem? It wil map everything, load directions just not lock on and give guidance. Installed the required voice guidance app from the market. Any thoughts? Restart didnt help

Have you gone into the applications settings, cleared cache and data then force closed it? I had problems with a customer's navigation on her inspire and that fixed it for me

Try grabbing AndroSensor from the market. It will show your lat/long and you may be able to tell if it's a problem with the nav software or your GPS. My Vivid connects almost immediately, even when I'm in my house (plenty of windows though). It will also tell you how many satellites it can 'see'.

Since I got the OTA Gingerbread update for my Epic I've had the same issues. With the exception of 2 times since the update I lose GPS after 5 to 10 minutes of using it. It's restored on restart, but that doesn't help me for tracking a my 15 mile bike ride.

On the advice of tech support, I did a factory-reset of the phone, and lo and behold, gps and nav apps work again. It restores the proper functioning of the GPS Lock.

I blame it all on the OTA rollout bungle which corrupted so many android phones.
