HTC Vivid Boot loader unlocking

I successfully completed the steps at the HTCDEV site for unlocking my boot loader on my HTC Vivid.

The message then said, an email was sent. I never received it. I repeated the steps and a second time an email was sent.

How the hell do I get the damn email? There was no way to contact the HTCDEV site. I sent emails to te web master - nothing.

Can someone help with this.

Maybe you put wrong mail.
Genarate the code again via adb and try again and becareful of the case sensitive email...

Obvious question, but since you didn't mention it, I must ask: have you checked your spam folder?

I am a novice - sorry to be so basic.
Got the email (HTC did not send it over the weekend-had to re do several times).

Now how do I use the unlockcode.bin? The email takes be back to the HTV dev site and the last step is the email. XDA developers says I should go to step 11??? Ok, I give up what the hell is step 11 and where is it?

Now that i have the email with the attached unlockcode.bin - can some one please tell me what steps to follow to root my HTV Vivid? It would be a lot easier to just purchased a rooted device instead of all the wasted hours of frustration.

Help please
