I just recently switched over to AT&T and bought the HTC Vivid. I've got the correct data plan to use 4G and 4G LTE, yet... I recieve no connection unless I use wifi. Help?

Have you tried the (sometimes not so ) obvious pulling of the SIM card for 30 seconds or so yet?

I just tried it, and nothing came about from it. I noticed that in the Wireless and Networks settings under mobile network, it says "Connection failed due to incorrect APN setting." Maybe that has something to do with it?

Try power cycling the phone. Your settings should be right so I am not sure what's up.

If you haven't done a lot of customizations yet you can do a factory data reset (THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON THE PHONE). Kind of like a root canal for a toothache but sometimes it's the easiest way when fixes are not as obvious.

Just tried power cycling, and nothing. I'm hesitant to do a factory reset because I've had this phone for about a month now, so I've already done a lot to it.

Any other suggestions?

Have you tried the other APN settings that some people have posted over on xda?
Here's the link if you haven't tried one of the other ones yet, the different APNs are under section 9 on the first posting.
