Help!!! Stuck at htc white screen
OK, I tried to install the 4.0.3 thing. and I obviously didnt know what I was getting into, I need help going back to the original state of the phone, Please dont redirect me to other forums because I already read them and still no luck. I need step by step directions to get my phone back. PLEASE HELP. thank you.

Did you do an OTA or did you try flashing the update?

And secondly, why would you go back to GingerBread 2.3.5 when Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 is so much better? In any matter, you asked about downgrading the phone back to GingerBread. Well, this is a very complex procedure and one wrong move causes the phone to hard brick. I can't guarantee anything or if it exists, but look for a Holiday GingerBread RUU. Make sure your bootloader is relocked or locked, make sure you are in fastboot and then run the RUU.
