I have the HTC VIVID and this will be my third I have had to exchange because of the head phone hook will not acknowledge it. Has anyone had this problem?

Yeah, I've heard this is an HTC issue, not just the Vivid. I'm fortunate in that my nice headphones work perfectly, but I have a few line cables (male / make cable to hook to external stereos) that range from spotty at best to refusing to work. I think the port is just not quite as deep as it needs to be.
