"android.process.media" pop-up on vivid cant look at any media

So I bought my brand new HTC vivid the other day, it has stock ICS and I'm so far disappointed, I kept goin over my data limit because of all the running applications, got that fixed then the phone stopped letting me into any media whatsoever, if I go into my music or videos then a pop up saying "android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Would you like to tell htc?" And its annoying having a phone with so much storage and I can't have music, or pictures, I reset my phone to factory settings so would that give me any trouble? And what can I do about a lag exiting any application never before but it takes about 5-7 seconds to load the screen after I exit and my phone used to be super fast help?
