I got my HTC Vivid about 3 weeks ago. A few days ago I started noticing my weather widget not updating by itself, but only updates after I tap on it and enter the app. Today, while at school, i noticed my location has been changed to Madison; I live on Guam. (first time weather widget showed the wrong location) I browsed through forums and searched for a solution to my problem and tried almost everything. I came across a method suggesting I find the weather provider application and delete the data from it. I did so and after my weather widget said no location available. Thinking this wasn't just the weather widget, I checked my google maps and it could not locate my location either; I also turned GPS on to see. Anyways, my question is what should I do and do you guys know how to fix this? Thank you guys!

Did you wipe the data for Gaaps itself?

If I'm not mistaken, Location Services determines your location based on the ISP you're connected to... Have you tried checking the geographic origin for your IP address?
