speaker audio not working

This just started recently but now no audio will come through the speaker. Even when the volume is at max it won't play any audio. I've heard this is kind of common but how do I fix this?

My problem was no audio from the headphone jack. Took it to the store...they gave me a new phone. I doubt there would have been anyway for me to fix it. Of course, my phone was under warranty.

Does anything come through the speaker such as voice on the speaker phone function...or is it just music that doesn't play?

It's a stock Vivid bug. YouTube won't play sound. Your Need For Speed app won't play sound. But your HTC Music app plays music just fine.

Just reboot the phone. That will fix it. For now.

Yes, but only by modding the phone.

You'll also remove that annoying "Optimizing app ### out of ###" every time you boot up your Vivid.
