Never had a Huawei phone before, I'm going to try to score this one though.

I have a Note 5 and works great, but my wife needs a better phone, so I'll give her mine and get myself the Mate 9. Love the bigger screen.

I received my 6GB/128GB Mate 9 two weeks ago and it is a 10 out of 10. I was previously using a Note 5 but managed to lose that phone. After searching high and low for a replacement I settled on the Mate 9. I find the size to be an improvement for me...I like the larger format and I can still one-hand it for many uses. The dual SIM is also a plus for me: I use AT&T in the US and Claro in Latin America...both work well. The camera is also a step up. Speed is also top notch, and was particularly noticeable because I used a Samsung J7 while I waited for the Mate 9 to arrive. Even though this is a Chinese market (HK I believe) unit, setup for US and Latin America (English and Spanish) was straightforward.
