Back up from iCloud

Apologies if I'm in the wrong section or repeating a question already covered in a previous thread.

I just got a P9 and I'm wondering if there is anyway of getting my data from a back-up on iCloud onto my new phone?

My iPhone died 2 days ago and a back-up was done the day before that (I think it's about 2.5Gb). I've been able to get my contacts onto my P9, but are my texts/whatsapp messages and photos accessible or are they doomed to the vaults in the clouds? Surely those are my data and there is some way to access them?!

You could start with icloud.com You may be able to access your pictures from there. Texts will be a different story, as would Whatsapp.
