Hello everybody,

Quite new to this. My girlfriend has bought a P9 and has managed to fill in all the internal storage with pictures etc. Connect the phone on the PC and we cannot see any files. How can I access the files in the phone and back them up in my PC. She does not have a micro SD card in the phone would that be the easiest way of transferring the data?

She is not very tech savvy and even though I'm good on dealing with technology I'm not an Android user so if you go slow on me it will be amazing.

Welcome to Android Central! Connect the phone to the PC via USB, swipe down on the notification panel, tap the USB icon, and make sure MTP or File Transfer is selected. Then open Windows Explorer on the PC and open the phone in the device list. You can now drag and drop files from the phone storage to the PC's hard drive. Photos taken by the camera app are in the /DCIM/Camera directory.

I would also strongly recommend taking advantage of Google Photos auto backup: https://support.google.com/photos/answer/6193313?co=GENIE.Platform=Android&hl=en
