Brand new and won't turn on

I just got my Huawei watch yesterday (Prime day deal) and out of the box it all seemed to work fine but the band is way too big so I left it on the charger overnight to wait til I can take it to get sized (stainless link band type)

This morning however it was down to about 50%, I made sure the pins were all in and such. I turned it off and the battery icon with the X in it came on, and now it is frozen like that. Won't respond to power button at all, the ten second hold just makes the icon disappear momentarily and come back on, no response to putting it on the charger either.

Any help would be appreciated!

I think you got a dud. I would contact Amazon to let them know.

What exactly does the battery with the X in it mean? Dead? Not charging? Can't seem to find an icon glossary anywhere for it.

That really sucks. Yep return it, but for sure get another, they are an excellent smartwatch.
