After having a number of problems trying to connect my Huawei watch to my Nexus 6p, I decided to both upgrade the phone firmware (to 7.1.2) and the Android Wear software (to 2.0). While the Android Wear software is super buggy, there's one particularly annoying problem. When I turn off BT and download new apps over wifi, they download at fast wifi speeds.
However, when trying to transfer over apps/settings from those already existing on my phone, the Watch seems to be doing it over BT, at a speed so slow that the Play store often times out. I'm talking like 30 minutes to download a 20mb file.
So two questions:
1) Is there a way to ensure the watch ALWAYS uses wifi when downloading apps?
2) Why is the watch downloading apps so slowly through bluetooth? It is, after all, using the wifi from my phone, which is placed right next to my watch and has download speeds of 50mb/s using my internet.
