If you can use the HTCDev unlock tool on 2.3.4, then there's no need to downgrade. Just unlock, flash a custom recovery via fastboot and you're set to start flashing custom ROMs.

Sounds easy enough djaquez21, if I have 2.3.4, s-off, with cwm, can I just flash roms too? I had to go back to stock to get out of bootloop after I downgraded, and that seemed to get my phone, well, back to stock. Which was the better choice after it not working.....I guess I dont know if the roms will work with 2.3.4. Still a noob......thanks
