Yes, the AlphaRevX software has now been released for the Droid Incredible 2, but it will not work if the DInc2 has the latest Gingerbread ROM installed. Since you are picking up a new one, there is a 50 / 50 chance that it doesn't have GB and you can run AlphaRevX to gain S-OFF so that you can root it.

Lol dammit it already has Gingerbread. Good thing is its rather smooth customized with Launcher Pro. (I can't stand Sense) The more Vanilla the Android the better. So there's no way to get back to Froyo on this device? Hopefully this Alpha dude comes up with a method for Gingerbread.
