Although I am not really a fan of hard plastic cases, otterbox does make a mean durable case. I might have to pick one up.

I had one for my 8330 ,I have been signed up to be notified when they are available for the DX/DINC. I probably get the defender for the DX since its big anyhoo . The DINC I kinda like keeping it slim ,will have to see what that case looks like before I decide. Otterbox has great CS btw in case you didnt know

what's so great about these cases? look just like my $12 silicone case from Verizon?
if i drop my phone with any of these classes or any other case.. the screen will still shatter right? it's not like any of these cases have some sort of screen protection? am i missing something? $50 for a case is steep.. - 08-10-2010, 02:42 PM

Very nice looking cases. In the event they produce a plastic clip holster (screen down) that it works with I may give one a try!
The Storm has cleared to an Incredible day! I ate an IceCream Sandwhich. Still needed JellyBeans. ;-)NEXUS!!!!!! - 08-11-2010, 03:41 AM #11
Hmmm....I tried both the Defender and the Commuter with my Storm and neither would. Would cause the screen to lock up. Sent them both back. Excellent customer service, but for some reason neither case would work with my Storm.

It looks like the commuter series has a silicone/rubber layer on the inside and hard plastic on the outside similar to the seidio innocase active, if so that's what I'll be getting. Can anyone confirm? I'm just speculating after looking at the picture.
Most otterbox cases have a hard plastic shell directly on the phone then rubber on the outside, which I dont like. Plastic on plastic becomes a bad combo when a little bit of dirt gets in there.HTC Incredible user since 4/29/10 - 08-11-2010, 12:55 PM #15
Looks good. I might pick one up.

With the Defender short of dropping it in a bucket of water or running it over you really have to abuse your phone to damage it.

I just ordered my Commuter this morning...used coupon code tb10z to save 10% off my order and free fedex ground shipping!
My Verizon/Ahmzer silicone case has been good to me since release, but its time to properly protect my phone.

^^ where did you order from? that code didnt work on the otterbox site when I tried just now.

received my case yesterday, 1 day earlier than the expected delivery date per Fedex....so far I like it, kinda reminds me of a "Spec" brand case for the iphones as it has a soft rubber cover and then a hard shell around the outer.
I'd take some pics, but the inc is my camera...it defiantly adds some heft to the phone, but in a good way. Also, it makes the back a smooth one level side, covers all the "stepped" area. So, for those that like the style of the back it gets covered up, for those that want a flat back, your good, and I'm indifferent, but I do like that the camera is better protected now, as it is recessed down into the phone more.

Got mine today, a day late. Fed Ex shipped it as a home delivery and my business closes at 5PM. Oh well. Either way, I love the case. very well made and now this tiny phone feels great in my manly hands.
