have a dinc and am tryng to root. I have rooted before but hit a wall. It is running android 2.3.4, Radio 2.15.10.07.07, and unrevoked will not root, any help or ideas?

Unrevoked does not work with Gingerbread. You need to either use the HTC Bootloader unlock tool or restore back to Froyo and then root. After that you can flash one of the rooted Gingerbread ROMs. and upgrade the Radio.

I had the same problem, but I am way too lazy atm to downgrade or do the research on another method, so i gave up.

Now I'm having problems with the phone freezing and restarting itself while sending texts. Is there a way to solve this problem without a factory data reset?

Try clearing cache and data out of the messaging app. You will lose your text's if you clear data out of the app, so you may want to see if just clearing the cache works first.
