    Default remove unlock screen

How can you remove the slide to unlock screen? I have an unlock pattern and the first unlock makes for too much swiping in the car! 2.1 rooted...

    Thanks

I know how to remove the Sense unlock screen. If you remove that, though, you are left with the vanilla lock screen. Perhaps that would work for you but not too sure on that.

Edit: nm that won't work either. Still gotta swipe before entering pattern.

Use NoLock it removes the slider lock. Then you can hit volume, power or trackpad button to wake up.

I tried searching for NoLock, but couldn't find it anywhere. I did find myLock though (don't know if that's what you meant). This worked, but it removed the slide lock AND my pattern unlock screen. I just want to disable the slide lock, but keep the pattern.

So after playing around in root based on what Viper said above, I found 2 files in /system/app:
    HtcLockScreen.apk
    HtcLockScreen.odex

I booted into recovery and moved those files into another folder. When I rebooted, I magically had the stock slide lock screen (though the buttons were not oriented properly):

Removing those files reverted back to the stock Android slide lock screen. Maybe there's something in the HtcLockScreen.apk file that has a clue to disabling the screen? I can't remember, but can the slide lock screen be disabled on a regular Droid?
