help with unroot

so today my phone decides that it doesn't want to make calls or make or recieve text messages but it still reloads facebook, twitter, and loads any internet page (running skyraider2.5 btw). so im thinking, hey maybe i just need to re-activate my phone, but that doesn't work. so i decide i'm going to take my phone to verizon and see if they can fix the issue but of course i need to unroot my phone, well whenever i try to run that PB3IMG.zip file to revert my phone back to stock it says that the main version is older update fail, anyway i can get around this so that i can get my phone working again??? please help, any and all will be thanked!!! could it possibly be the face that i have the 2.05.00.06.11 radio???

Are you trying to return to stock through recovery, or hboot?

Hboot is the correct answer. With the pb31img file in the root of your sd drive, power off the phone. Hold down on the power button and volume down at the same time. It will load itself from there.

Are you using this ROM?

If an update's required to be loaded via hboot, it's name apparently must be PB31IMG.

thank you both for your help though, my phone still isn't making calls or text i'm just going to have to take it to my verizon store and see if they can do something about it or hopefully not, just replace the phone.
