Summary:
More is not always better. My goal is to slim this Rom down as much as possible focus on performance and keep it lookin pretty . Overall performance is directly impacted by the removal of bloatware, zipaligned apk's and overclocked underolted kernel. This is how I like my rom it may not necessarily be how everyone likes it but the beauty of Android is options. By removing the bloatware adding custom apps and baking the theme right into the Rom I think you'll find that it saves a lot of steps and time.
If there was any one release I would want you to download it would be Redemption Rom 2.0. Trust me it's worth wiping and starting from square one it's by far the most complete release focussed on performance and the most aesthetically pleasing Sense Rom I've seen to date (I know I say this every time lol). Main Theme credit goes to manup456, ghostrida, SoCalMiles and deficitism

Donations:
There's has been a few people that have asked me about donations so I added the link in my signature. The Redemption Rom from it's inception has been my personal endeavor to get the most ascetically pleasing, stable and fast Rom possible for my day to day use. I was so pleased with the outcome that I wanted to share it with the community. I did not create all this content. I've pieced together some of the best additions to the Android community as well as provided my own content. On the one hand this project is a hobby and I find it very enjoyable but it does take A LOT of time to do everything you see here. If you feel that my work warrants a donation by all means feel free it will help keep me caffeinated on those all nighters but by no means are you obligated in any way. At the end of the day I find satisfaction in the feedback from all of you that enjoy my work, so thank you for using my Rom!

There actually isn't anything wrong with the Rom reading internal memory in the emmc. The issue has to do with the 3rd party music app I used Music Mod 1.8 which is also found on CyanogenMod. Most 3rd party media applications don't read what's in emmc koush has modded the media scanner for cm6 to enable this I just haven't gotten around to including it in this Rom yet.
As I told you on XDA easy fix would be to adb push the stock HTC music app/widget found in the "removed apps" zip I provided from recovery to /system/app and you're golden those will read the music you have stored on the phone memory crisis averted

I have everything ready to do this and have rooted using unrevoked. My question is, when it says "flash kernel of your choice" what exactly does this mean? Don't want to start this and not be fully prepared. I tried searching but couldn't find much info on this part. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you wanted to load a custom kernel other than the stock kernel that the Rom has that would be the point at which you would flash it. The stock kernel on this Rom is very good it should be more than sufficient for you. I use it in combination with SetCPU and the performance is great as well as battery life.

Just loaded it up tonight and so far so good. Running it with KiNgxKernal BFS #4.
One question though, what is the .apk for the Weather Forecast app so I can remove?
UPDATE: Nevermind uninstalled it.Last edited by GooTz66; 09-20-2010 at 01:07 AM.

backup assistant?
why would you use backup assistant? You can download Titanium backup from the market (for your apps, including save points in games), and your contacts will be backed up via your gmail account.....
any comments on the rom so far? Considering flashing this, want to know what the people think!Last edited by kborer22; 09-20-2010 at 10:59 AM.

I know you listed the custom kernel option as future work, but was wondering if you have you done any comparison (performance or battery) against the stock sense 2.2. Based on the feature list it seems you streamlined the rom pretty good, which is great. I like "pretty" without sacrificing performance so wanted to know how does it feel (i.e., speed) compared to stock. Thanks for the work!

As far as speed this Rom performs better than stock mainly due to the zip-aligned apk's which optimizes ram usage and the removal of what most would consider the stock sense bloat. The included Spare Parts app lets you speed up window transitions so things open almost instantly. Using this Rom in conjunction with SetCPU to enable "OnDemand" as well as set up profiles to underclock the processor when the screen is off will allow you to get much better battery life which is already good out of the box.

There was a time when Quadrant score used to mean something to me however those days are gone. That's not to say that Quadrant doesn't tell you something about certain aspects of a ROMs performance but honestly I've run Roms that have produced scores over 1800 on the incredible but the UI felt "choppy" so high Quadrant score doesn't = Smooth. Trust me when I tell you that you won't notice a difference in your day to day use with a Quadrant score of 100 - 150 points less than another Rom it's all about quality in the build. It's best to stick to the stock kernel as closely as possible especially if it's a good one which it is in this case. This minimizes problems you could run into down the road. Just my $.02 take it for what you will

I have what is probably a stupid / noob question. I have loaded the ROM. I'm up and running fine. I prefer the stock HTC music app. I know that the answer to this is to adb push the apk from that removed app list to the system/app folder. My problem is that adb push won't work for me. I go to cmd, adb shell, and type
adb push HtcMusic.apk /system/app
and it says sh: adb: command not found
Anybody got any ideas? I have tried searching and I just haven't found an answer. Thanks in advance! - 09-20-2010, 03:29 PM

Ok here are the steps to get you rockin to your favorite tunes:
1. Place HtcMusic.apk and com.htc.MusicWidget.apk in your sdk "tools" folder
2. Boot into Recovery
3. Under mounts and storage select "mount system"
4. adb push HtcMusic.apk /system/app (now hit enter)
5. adb push com.htc.MusicWidget.apk /system/app (now hit enter)
If you want to remove Music Mod
6. adb shell
7. rm /system/app/MusicMod.apk (now hit enter)
8. Go back to the phone and select "unmount system"
9. Back to the main menu and select (reboot)
10. Rock out to your tunes with the HTC music player
