Could you walk me through changing a kernel? I know which one I want, I have it downloaded in the zip file on the computer. I know I am supposed to go to clockwork recovery screen, but from there I am lost. Do I need to do a wipe before I upload this?

No need to wipe before loading a Kernel. Just load it onto your micro-sd card, and within Clockwork Recovery, select "install zip from sdcard" then "Choose zip from sdcard" then browse for where you stored it.

You actually should wipe the dalvik cache before flashing a kernel. This option is located in the advanced menu on clockwork recovery

Not sure exactly. I'm still fairly new to this. I've just read in several posts that not wiping it before flashing a new kernel can cause problems
