Difference in recoveries

Is there a difference in the PB31IMG file from 2.1 to froyo's 2.2 version? I'm trying to find a current one so I can go back to stock recovery, get the latest maintence update, then go back to rooted so i can re-delete the stuff i don't want/like...especially VCast!!

If there is a difference, any direction on where to find the latest froyo version and how do i tell the difference?

seems like a lot of work for just a stinking little update but it bugs me not to have it i guess.

Use virtuous if you want a rom that is based off of the update. Or you can use sky raider, redemptive, business sense, incrom, or one of my roms, as they are either based off if or have parts of the ota
