I know there are plenty of threads about this but nothing seems to be working for my specific case.

I once upon a time had the official 2.2, managed to downgrade and root using Unrevoked and installed a couple different roms, like Skyraider and Uncommon Sense. Currently using Clockworkmod. I think that at one point I upgraded my bootloader and/or radio, not really sure, but I managed (after hours of trying) to get back to stock 2.1 last night with root still though. I don't want root anymore, just want completely stock 2.2 or 2.2.1, whatever it is these days. So the automatic update failed from my current 2.1 state because something couldn't be verified. Anyways, any suggestions on how to get rid of my root and get to 2.2?

Here's all my information:

Firmware Version:
2.1-update1

Baseband Version:
2.05.00.06.11

Kernel Version:
2.6.29-cc1c2268
root@laptopone #6

Build Number:
1.22.605.2 CL161494 release-keys

Software Number:
1.22.605.2

PRI Version:
1.28_002

PRL Version:
65168

ERI Version:
5

Can anyone help pleeeeeease?

I tried the above posted tutorial, didn't work.

Everything works fine until it goes to the bootloader and tries to load the PB31IMG.zip, it does the check with the status bar on the right side but never asks me if I want to install.

Any other suggestions?

Again, I'm on 2.1 rooted now, was once on stock 2.2, then rooted it, now on 2.1 rooted, want to get back to 2.2, preferably unrooted, any suggestions?

well I've managed to successfully update using the PB31IMG.zip so I'm now on unrooted 2.1 with no clockworkmod recovery, but the 2.2 update isn't showing up, it says that my "system is currently up to date". I tried manually installing 2.2 using an update.zip but the installation fails.

Any suggestions?
