so when i put on a kernel what exactly am i backing up? any links for a tutorial


am i just going another backup using clockwork like i did before i flashed a rom of my stock?

do i need another titanium app backup also?

currently i'm on 2.2 MIUI v0.5 1.1.28.1 and i wanna load the invisiblek kernel for it.

Just do a clockwork backup - replacing the kernel will not change any of your apps/data. Wipe Cache and Dalvik as well. If the kernel is not compatable with your ROM - you would have to restore from Nandroid anyway.

You flash a kernel like a rom just without the wipe.

You should backup your rom just incase something goes wrong.

Flashing a kernel does not delete anything of your phone.

thanks upstream you always know what to do...

now you have the MIUI rom it has the Gtalk app in there but how do i add contacts? i tried to add you to IM you and couldnt figure it out
