I have been experimenting with different roms lately and have settled on CM7.0.3 nightly #106. I am loving it!! However, I have been experiencing difficulties when trying to install apk files not from the market. Say my dropbox or blogs/forums.
I'm not sure that this is really a CM7 issue, but haven't experienced it on any other ROM I've tried so far.
So I download my apk from anywhere but the market and save to my sd card. Then I use root explorer to navigate to it and install. Here's where my issues comes up. I can't click the install button. I can only choose the cancel button. I can reboot the phone and then install via root explorer with no problem. I can also install a apk installer from the market and it will install it without a reboot.
It's like the downloaded file is restricted from installing from a file manager/explorer until a reboot.
Any thoughts??
