Default Gingerbread Infuse Leak: Won't install on my Infuse

    Hello,

I was able to get the Gingerbread ROM leak that was posted on Android Central's front page. My Infuse was rooted with the infused ROM. I downloaded Odin3 1.8 and tried to install the Gingerbread rom. All I got was the PDA file, and no matter how many times I try, I simply end up with a phone in a boot loop.

Fortunately I was able to go back to stock Froyo, but what did I do wrong? Now that I'm back to stock Froyo, should I simply try again?

Try it now that it is stock. But from XDA's thread I wouldn't install it. Some are experiencing rainbow effect and wifi issues. You should wait for a dev release a 2.3.5 custom rom.

    From Entropy's reply

I haven't done much Odin flashing, but my guess is that there's some crap in the data partition that is making the ROM unhappy, so try this:

Odin a kernel that contains CWM - Any of the Gingerbread kernels should do.
Shut off the phone (may need to battery pull)
Enter CWM using the three-finger salute
In CWM, do "Wipe Data/Factory Reset"
    Power off
    Odin the UCKI4 leak
