a guy at work just got a infuse 4g a few weeks ago and I may be able to buy it for $100 not sure yet. Anyway if I do I want to know for sure about the rooting and mobile hotspot. If I root it will I then gain access to the mobile hotspot feature or will I have to do something else to get rid of the att warnings about needing a tethering option and hotspot option on my plan. I noticed on his phone that there are warning when you try to activate either on this phone.

Can't help you myself, but I do know that XDA there has been talk about this. It seems like AT&T can detect when you are tethering by the way the type of info that is transfered.
