Not seeing any improved battery life with flashed ROM

So everyone tells me all these custom ROMS save so much battery life...I'm not seeing it...

I've read that CM7 does well....and being it's my first ROM I decided to download it....battery life seems to be the same...hell I even downloaded Juice Defender and that doesn't really seem to do much.

Any advice?

Put zeus on it and call it a day. Awesome battery life , make it the whole day with out having to charge it and Id say Im a moderate user.

I have Zeus and I can get about 14 hours on it if I'm messing around moderately... I feel that it is lower than what I got on froyo except it is better at everything else.

Zeus its pretty good in my experience as well

I've been considering a rom also to fix the battery issue. I've tried freezing apps and used SetCPU. both did nothing to help. I guess next is Zeus.

I also didn't have much of a battery life extension on Zeus, but I never had a real problem with battery life in the first place (got me through about 8 ~ 12 hours on stock anyways). I didn't try tinkering with the Voltage Meter app on Zeus though, maybe that would have made it better (I see some crazy screenshots with people on Zeus raking in like 2 days).
