Being asked to choose before training even begun

Hello all, I finally got an invite and installed the app tonight. I launched it, selected my gmail account. It played the intro stuff and went to the pick up XM training part. Then I exited the app since I didn't have time to do XM tonight. I then re-opened the app to look at it. Instead of going back to training, it is playing the two messages...first from the resistance, then from the enlightened. Then it goes to the choose faction page...under the "Join the Enlightened" button is nothing but under the "Join the Resistance" button is a line that reads: ["NPOperator is a member of this faction]"
I'm not sure who NPOperator is or why it has that under resistance and nothing under enlightened. But more basically, why is it asking me choose a side when I have performed exactly NO training mission activities. None. The help website (which I can't seem to find again) said that if this happened I was to Force Stop and then re launch the game. That had the same result. I also tried forcing stop and clearing the cache. No help. Then forced stop, cleared cache, and cleared data. No help. I then forced stop,uninstalled the app, tghen reinstalled. Still no help. It wants me to choose a faction before I have had any training.
Does anyone know how to get back to training? Or is this thing so poorly designed and contructed that I now have to proceed without the training that they clearly want you to have since it starts automatically the first time you use the app (but apparently not the second thu nth time).
Looking for some help with this AFU'd thing here.

OK; did some checking around and found that you can just choose a side and then you can go back to the training at any point. (The Force Close information on the official site was wrong for me) But remember that the product is really still in beta and this is probably a but in the directions more than anything else. Good luck!

I tried that. Thanks. It did indeed re-offer training.
