I requested a code a while back and did the normal things to get one, well today I opened the app by accident and it is working. I was never sent a code. Is this normal?

Well I did submit a picture on g+ a few days back maybe that was it.

I never got a code, Niantic simply activated my scanner remotely and I've been protecting humanity from the shapers ever since.

That's crazy! I waited around for a code but got one pretty quickly a while back... When it came, it was an actual code though. o.O

You would have received a notification from your post saying a code would be sent. My code was sent via email, but I didn't have to actually enter it, as I was logged in with the same email on my phone. A second code I received from an alternate email I gave to a friend.

I am one of the first run players and I got a code emailed to me but when I opened the app and selected the Google account to use it just let me start playing
