So I'm finally rooting my android, here are my only questions.

1. If I want it back to normal can I just restore it?

2.Is it easy to brick it?

3. What will overclocking do, and help with?

And 4. With the Inspire will I keep my sound with new and custom roms?
Like how do they work?

Thanks guys.

Not an expert with HTC devices but I can give you some basic answers.
So I'm finally rooting my android, here are my only questions.

1. If I want it back to normal can I just restore it?
Yes, you need to make sure to make a backup of your stock rom. Even if your not flashing custom roms, it's a good idea.

2.Is it easy to brick it?
As long as you follow the instructions for what you are doing you should be good. It's always a possibility. I've rooted and flashed plenty of roms on Moto devices and have never had a problem.

3. What will overclocking do, and help with?
Over/underclocking will adjust your processer. It can speed up your device or you can slow it down and adjust you voltage to improve battery life. Some roms have overclocking scripts built in.

And 4. With the Inspire will I keep my sound with new and custom roms?
Like how do they work?
Most roms will keep the stock notifications. Anything on your SD card won't be affected.

Wow thanks for your help, and btw your name sounds really familiar.
Does TDS and or Fix_xer ring a bell?
I remember somebody with your exact same name being a VIP member over there.

;)

Edit: I rooted and it was surprisingly easy, I used Bubba's 1 click method.
Time to have some real fun!
