New to Android. Wanting to Root an Inspire 4g with a Mac.

Check out the Hack Kit or the One Click Method to see if they are MAC compatible.

One click method isn't compatible.
If you want to do a bit more work, the Hack Kit does work in OSX.

At this point though I'm going to recommend the Hack Kit. Booting in recovery is a black screen with the one-click, and you have to use the Hack Kit to fix it anyway.

i can't even get that, "long number".. Your supposed to get while making the gold card on mac.. And I did everything noted, i already gave up.

I booted into Windows using Bootcamp.
A Virtual Machine is another option.

Yeah I did the same thing... couldn't get it to give me any number!!

Not sure the links on this site but it would be much simpler to use someoens computer who had windows and use the ace hack kit. Only.takes a few mins
