Buying a tablet for travel instead of laptop
I'm tired of lugging my laptop with me while I travel - and I have a trip to Argentina scheduled. I would like a device that I can connect via wifi, check my email, and read books. Do tablets using android os function in Argentina or should I just get a netbook and a kindle or something? I really liked the Acer Iconia and would like some advice before I buy it or another tablet and find out that it doesn't work very well out of the US. Appreciate the help - you can tell I'm pretty new at this.

Re: Buying a tablet for travel instead of laptop
Most tablets'll work pretty much everywhere, from the BlackBerry PlayBook to the HTC Flyer, what you'll need to do is have a look at each tablets WiFi band and have a look online for the various places you're going to, what WiFi band they use, then go for the tablet that matches, that you like the best
