Thinking of switching from iPhone to Android.
Hi guys I am new to the forums and I am thinking about switching from my iPhone to Android. To be more specific I need to get away from AT&T and I am switching to T-Mobile because I need a lower bill. First off I am an Apple fanboy, I have always loved there products even when I was a little kid, but I also love tech and I really want to try something different. So when I saw the HTC One series get released specifically the One S I knew I had to have one and I was super excited to hear it was coming to T-Mobile.
So I just want some feed back on what you guys might think I might miss on my iPhone that aren't on Android and what does Android offer that iPhone does not. Thanks in advance for any help guys. - 03-13-2012, 08:19 PM #2

Welcome to AC.
Everybody has their "thing" for various smartphone platforms. If you are looking to make a move, here are a few links that will help you understand what Android does and does not do...
Apple User's Guide to Android
Getting Started with Android - Tips and Tricks
Both are very good reads.

Re: Thinking of switching from iPhone to Android.
Thanks for posting the getting started links.. I'm about to be a convert too, though haven't decided which phone yet. I've been leaning towards the Skyrocket since Amazon has it for $99 but they have the Vivid for the same price. Like anything there's pros and cons to just about all devices, though I think I'm going to wait a little longer to see which one comes out first (HTC OneX or GS2HD) and then play with them. Am also thinking about the G Note but not sure about the size.
Thanks again. - 03-16-2012, 08:01 PM #5
I was Android then switched to iphone but bought a Samsung Fascinate today because I've read a lot of good things about Galaxy S devices. I still have my iphone 4 but I'm enjoying the Fascinate thus far.

Re: Thinking of switching from iPhone to Android.
I made the switch 2 months ago from iPhone to RAZR, I should have went with Samsung because I hate the resolution on that phone, but really happy with the OS. Still on Gingerbread also, so if you switch I suggest Samsuns with Icecream sandwich
