I recently purchased an Archos 80 G9 16gb tablet from UK and discovered that it only showed 512MB of ram instead of the 1GB advertised. After downloading ICS (4.0), the 1GB of ram showed up. Apparently (according to Archos) Honeycomb 3.2 will only reveal a maximum of 512MB ram even though the device contains 1GB. So, before you decide to return a tablet that was supposed to contain 1GB, first download ICS 4.0 and check ram.
