    Default Introduction

Greetings, (mobile delegates? no, that's been done....) Android Central community!

I have found my way here from CrackBerry nation as I am about to switch from my BlackBerry Torch 9850 (which I really like, btw) to a Motorola Razr Maxx on Verizon Wireless. This is a corporate move away from BlackBerry based, at least in part, on the compatibility of iPhones and Android devices with Google Apps.

I thought it wise to jump on in here because the world of Android seems a bit like the Wild West to me at the moment, what with the plethora of manufacturers, skins, versions, etc. I feel I have a much better handle on what I'm getting when I order a BlackBerry or an iPhone, so I've got a lot to learn.

My Razr Maxx should be delivered this morning, so I haven't even put my hands on it yet, but I chose it because of the purported battery life and the durability of the hardware. I also read some favorable reviews. I have handled, and set up for a colleague, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and, while I respect its specs, it just doesn't have a solid enough feel for my taste. The battery cover in particular annoys me.

So, no questions for now. Just saying, "Hello!" I look forward to perusing the forum and learning from you veterans.

    Cheers,

    Brandon
