Hi, I am at a loss. I have a Droid 3. My computer used to recognize it but now it doesn't. I am running Windows 7. Whenever I plug it in I get a bubble saying the USB device isn't recognized. I have tried downloading different drivers, I have used different cables, including the original, but nothing works. I took it to the store where I brought it and they plugged it in and it came right up. I also am not getting the USB icon on my screen. I have read a lot in but many of the solutions are way past my pedestrian abilities. Can anyone help me?

Welcome to AC

A few things you can try...
Make sure you're using the USB cable that came with the phone or one similar... some cables will only charge the phone.
Use the USB ports in the back of the computer.
Try rebooting the computer with the phone plugged in.
Go to Menu.. Settings.. Development.. and make sure USB Debugging is on.

If I had to guess.. I would say its the cable you're using.. try a different one.
